4th of July of Awesomeness!
Signed up to do the Ramona fireworks show again this year, it's my 4th one in a row, plus one Holiday Bowl, so I'm actually feeling better about my skills. We had the same network issue, only when we started to shoot again nothing happened. Checked back and forth in test and the cues tested they just would not fire. (this is after finding 3 frowny face stickers on the board for bad contacts when we opened it...) Ended up rapeing the radio battery pack and crosswiring it to the board to get it to fire. Had to rake the board at the end, but I think a few got missed. Had to backload about 15 shells and the 2 finale cakes. 2 of the shells were wire burns, and one the lift charge blew out the side of the body but did not fully ignite. the last shell in a chain the match burned out.
Its not as bad when the shot fails to fire, but the blow out and burn out on the match are not much fun to handle. and I am the one who generaly does any backloading.
