New Tricks And Old Dogs - Various 3t2 Conversions

Mar 28, 2013 00:01

Back in the days when life was simple and free of liabilities, my professional aspirations were to become an aquanaut or a pub owner. The former chimera was bred by watching dozens of reruns of Jacques Cousteau's fascinating television documentaries, the latter inspired by my uncle who had been running a honky-tonk in one of the seedier parts of our city for many years. As it happens, Monsieur Cousteau didn't need another crew member on the Calypso and my uncle closed his pub in favor of opening a betting office, so I became a carpenter. When that didn't work out, I retrained for a bookseller. Then that didn't work out and I retrained for a foreign language correspondent. Unfortunately, there's no demand for screwdriver- wielding, foreign-language-babbling bookstore clerks on the local job market for the time being, which is why I have to put up with cleaning jobs mostly. For almost two years now, I've been keeping a pub clean, so I guess I already have half a food in the door for a pub owner.

With that said, it seems a bit inappropiate to depict a bathroom that looks like it hasn't seen Mr. Clean & Co for several decades, but rest assured that I'm always leaving my place of work in such an immaculate condition you could eat off the floor. I wouldn't particularly advice doing the same (if you value your health) in the following restroom .......

There are eleven new conversions - six from the Sims 3 'Late Night' expansion, one from the base game, and four from Cyclonesue's 'Washroom' series at TSR - and recolors of three already converted objects. The meshes for the recolors aren't included in the download folder, but you'll find the links under the usual object descriptions.

While putting up a handful of urban buildings and spaces in my game, I detected that some of my first conversions had wrong footprints and missing object descriptions, so I redid them. I also gave them new file names and GUIDs, which means that if you have the old files in your download folder, you'll have to take them out manually rather than letting them get overwritten by the new ones. Sorry about that!
