[Asbel and Hubert are at the barracks, working through a battle routine to improve their coordination in battle. Towards the end of a joint attack consisting of Mirage Dragon and All the Way, someone's heel or another kicks at one of their journals on the side, flipping it over and open with enough force to create an accidental feed. [Her friends may already be taken by the time she gets there, but that won't stop Cheria from hurrying over to the barracks to see if there's anything she can do. Anything at all.l]

[Pao-lin walks around a little, her eyes searching the room.]

Then will you hold on to that, Cheria? [She figures that she's more likely to run into him than Tear is, given that they're likely closer in regards to friendship.]

[Tear is trusting Cheria with Hubert's journal? Vaguely, she wonders if Tear would have asked the same if it was Asbel's journal, but then she quickly puts it out of her mind again.]

O-of course! I'll return it to him as soon as possible.

[Pao-lin's finished inspecting the rest of the room. Finding nothing else of note, she heads back to Tear and Cheria. She eyes Hubert's journal in Cheria's hands, and gets an idea.]

Hmm...do you think maybe we could try calling Asbel over the journal to see if the two of them are all right? I mean, if only Hubert's journal is here, maybe Asbel still has his. [She has no idea if it's even possible, but...]

The droids that come to fetch residents have been known to use excessive force to the point that their target loses consciousness, so even if his journal is on his person, it is unlikely that he will be awake to answer. [Even if she would like to know that he's all right...]

Yes... And I don't believe anyone who's been kidnapped has ever been able to contact the village before, even if they did have their journals with them.

[Which is a bit of a terrifying thought. Cheria wishes she could remember why she hadn't been able to contact the village when she was kidnapped, as she was kidnapped and returned with her journal. She just can't remember what happened for the duration of said kidnapping.

Well, perhaps it's best if she doesn't remember.]
