(that's right, folks... I actually did spend most of the afternoon with that solitary noodle hanging in my beard just out of reach beneath my lower lip.)

what can I say? the camera tells stories even truer than truths.

i didnt eat the whole thing!! ohhh MAN it was gross. there was no meat at all, and the "skin" still maintained the textue of a foot pad. i wasnt sure how to go about eating it.

REALLY GROSS! they didn't actually TASTE that bad, but there was no meat at all, and the skin maintained the texture of... foot skin. i wasnt even sure how i was supposed to eat them. i tried to pull the skin off, but i just ended up pulling off the end knuckle on each of the... toes?

i kind of gave up after about 10 minutes.

I didn't say it was a bad thing. :] However I am myself starting to shun the look, see Rowan's journal for recent discussion on this topic.

I will readily grow my beard to engage in a cleverly written comic routine with Travis if someone comes up with something, though.

The other day I met the new boyfriend of a friend of mine who I always thought was h0t, and I had a total aversion for the guy right away, like intense jealousy, because he had a style rather similar to mine. what the fuck. I was barely subtle too, I could see that they were perceiving my lack of comfort.

food photography is wonderful to view.
i have never heard of pows being called steamed buns. we call them pows here. pork pows and soya and chicken pows are my favourite.

ahh yeah. i ive seen steamed buns being called paos... i think "steamed bun" is just the boring english term for them.
