Why?

I have got burning questions in my mind right now. Philosophically thinking questions...

Why music has to be that logical? Why can't music play the way just as it is? Do applying specific expressions have to be so logical and so technical to the fact that it will kill off the person's musical soul and intuition as time goes by ( Read more... )

Music is feel. No right or wrong. All the training for consistent beats and accurate pitch are to allow trained person to try to imitate the feel of the pc the composer want and also to allow all to play together that will create some general feel for all. Go watch more renowned symphony live shows, you will realised that even the same pc is played differently every time even under the same conductor and the beats are not actually consistent. The playing flow with the feel of conductor. Of course, you can't get that in SG.

Dear mistyluv87,

Sorry, I can't answer that question, but I do have one in return for you: Would you be interested in helping us with a linguistic research project? We're compiling data from various Singaporean weblogs. All it requires is checking a few boxes. If you want to take part and/or have more questions, drop me a note ( hack2301@uni-trier.de RE: Question ) so that I can then send you the 'official' project eMail. We'd really appreciate your help.

Thanks very much in advance!
Best regards,
- Fran
