Okay, so I didn't do this in my RP journal because it's not like I even have a dignity to lose
So! Several people said I should totally make a post about Shelly de Killer. I gave in and... well, here it is. I asked people to ask me questions because I am not creative at all. I am still open for questions, so feel free to comment with yours!
But before that, let's clear something up: what IS established in canon about Shelly? Not much at all. Over at Plurk, I summed it up as such...
"Shelly de Killer is a guy who kills people but he only works with people he really trusts and you break his trust you are FUCKED
And also he is the fourth de Killer and what the fuck he wears a monocle and what's with the stitches"
So... Everything below was mostly pulled out of my ass (this is what Literature classes are good for). You are warned. ALSO AAAAAAAAAAAAAA NOW I'M PRETTY SURE HE'S THE THIRD DE KILLER GOD HELP ME I GOT SOMETHING WRONG ABOUT HIM that makes me feel more comfortable with my mental health actually

... Fuck, now I think I want to write a fic about this. But to get your imagination going for now, I imagine that rookie!Shelly was nowhere near as skilled as he is now... and thus prone to stupid mistakes. Maybe he forgot to wear gloves or something, I dunno.
Shelly's love life/first girlfriend.
There are two options...
a) Shelly is a sheltered, nearly-50-year-old virgin, whose knowledge of human anatomy came not from hanky-panky, but from more morbid deeds;
b) Shelly totally had a one-night stand with Dee Vasquez in his youth and thus Daryan Crescend popped into existence.

What languages does Shelly speak?
A little bit of all important languages. You've gotta be prepared for everything. :T But, no matter if he is speaking French, German or Borginian... he has a goddamn posh British accent at all times.
There would be a question. What IS with the stitches.
Now there's a question I would love to see officially answered. Let's see what the Ace Attorney Artbook has to say:
"Shelly de Killer
A mysterious man whose secret identity is that of an assassin.
The cover identity Shelly uses to get by in the world is the embodiment of tender warmth itself, but the large scar running vertically down the length of his face attests to the hardships of life as a legendary assassin."
So! My personal theory is that it was some sort of injury obtained... on the job, and that is certainly what this quote seems to imply. Just the other day I realised it could have been some form of torture; that would explain the amazing verticality of the scar and would fit in with the quote as well.
Methods of killing. Any preference?
Though he doesn't let his preferences get in the way of his professionalism, I imagine he prefers methods that involve close contact with the target. A bit more risky, perhaps, but it allows him to be more precise.
Now, while I'm convinced he isn't a sadistic person in the least, I can guess that, as soon as he finds a certain underhanded traitor, he will pull out the piano wire and... vent his frustrations, so to say.
