And then I DID forget to post

I plead ignorance. Not ignorance of anything in particular, just general ignorance, evidenced by the fact that I have gotten us started watching Studio 60.

It isn't even very good. It's simply one of the only dramas in recent memory that's not actively repellent.

Usually.

I've been trying to think through why I don't watch Heroes. It doesn't really repel me either.

You know what part of it is? The attractiveness. On Heroes, everyone's attractive and there's no explanation, it's just that way cause it's a TV show. Whereas on Studio 60, not everyone's attractive, and the fact that most people are is explainable by how they, the characters, are all in Hollywood and crap.

You're all "I smoked it but I didn't inhale," but I'm going to out you right here and now - you don't just sit there analyzing the show and considering it not actively repellent - you laugh at it, and smile at it. As do I. So whatever, dude.

When did I say I analyzed it? Considering it notrepellent is an afterthought - an observation based on the fact that when it's on, I sit there reasonably happily and am not repelled.

Two words: Veronica Mars

Wonderfully the opposite of repellent. Capers, characters and all the continuity an arc whore (say, me) can get her hands on.

I keep hearing this and should really have a look. But I can't shake the feeling that there is only one open position in my life for a television show. I chose... poorly
