Expected result, but what now?

Well, the 2006 Canadian election is over, and as i predicted, the Conservatives have a minority.

The Liberals lost ~30 seats in total, BQ lost ~2. We're down to 1 sitting Independant from 4, and the 2 vacant seats were filled. Of those 37 seats, NDP gained ~11 and the Conservatives - the big winners of the evening - gained 26.

I know a few others who say if he even dares using the 'notwithstanding' he'll be gone as well.

I know, but Mit made it sound like he's personally going to grab him by the scruff of his neck and throw him out of Ottawa :) Which would be cool to watch, if nothing else.

i'm very optimistic about this new goverment, i don't think they will fuck up because its been a very long time since they were in power so i think they will be walking on egg shells :)
