My first credit card application was denied today. What an occasion to celebrate because I still received 15% off of my super-large total. I don't think I have ever spent that much at that store, but it sure was worth it. And 15% off of everything on top of that!

I don't know if you have a "normal" credit card (Visa, MC, etc.) but it's a lot easier to get approved for store credit cards if you have one of those first. :)
