So, what have I been up to...

It's been some time since I've posted anything of some worth. So, what exactly have I been up to over the past few months?

Starting from my last post, I spent most of July, August and September doing nothing but working. I played a lot of paintball and picked up some new guns. Nothing overly extravagent or top of the line, but they're two gun's I've wanted for awhile.

I also spent most Fridays and some Saturdays shooting people because shooting people is fun.

In October, I went to visit my guild where a met a good portion (at least of the Oklahoma people) from my guild. Some of these people I've been playing with since December 05, so it was nice to be able to meet them finally. The weekend started on Friday after a red-eye flight to Tulsa.

Here's our token black person, Jai (Zexro) and my guild leader, Kyle (Archilless).

And our token Canadian, Ryan (Archmagi).

This is what happens to Kyle after too much Jagermeister... I'm sure you all know some people who get like this after too much Jager.

I'd like to say I was sober here, but that'd be a dirty, dirty lie. Although, this was at the end of a day that began at 6:30am the previous day--some of that may be tired.

And here I am the next morning... it was a comfy couch... they all thought I'd drunk myself into a coma.

And then there was that Saturday and Oktoberfest. The best way to prevent a hang-over is to never stop drinking. Sitting next to me is Mike (Lizara).

And then me after all that beer.

So, the weekend couldn't be all drinking. So we decided to go out for a nice lunch on Sunday. Here's my "cool guy" pose.

As I miss my flight, resulting in an ordeal that made me get home 7 hours late =(

It was worth it though, and totally glad I went. Group picture.

So, that's most of what's happened. Not a lot. Most of my time has been at work, trying to show my stuff, get promoted, get more money, etc...

So, the week before Thanksgiving, my brother comes into town for a friend's wedding and he stays down here until Thanksgiving with our family. I had been throwing around the idea of at least leasing or buying a new car. I really didn't know where to start, but he'd spent over a year test-driving cars where ever he and a friend happened to be. So he got me thinking on a couple of different ideas and took me for my first test drives.

We started bigger than what I was looking for, but still doable.

Meet the Audi S4.

It's a beautiful car and drives so smooth. However, so many douche bags test drive them and don't know how to drive that I never really got to give it a proper run. It would have been nice to take it into the hills a few miles away from the dealership I was at, but they had some idiot total a car on a simple S-curve down the street from the dealer. Not only that, the saleswoman I was with was so cold, I thought my dick was going to shrivle up and fall off. Then I found out she drives a GTI and it all made sense.

Volkswagen GTI MkV

This a more affordable car and had the same 2.0L 200hp turbo-charged engine. Full extras on the GTI cost the same as the Audi A4(a less sporty version of the S4) basic config. I'm gonna try to go to a dealer in the next few days to test drive one, but it looks like a winner. It's small, sport, fast, has power and looks nice (one of the better looking hatchbacks IMO).

So, while it was the 2008 Subaru WRX hatchback that got me started on looking at cars...

(Now there's a hot hatch =0)... it looks like the GTI will win out in the end... mostly because the Vdubs have a better automatic engine than the Subaru, and I wouldn't defile a WRX with an automatic... I need to learn how to drive a manual eventually.

Among other options is the 3.5L, 270-hp Nissan Altima Coupe.

It's a tough decision indeed. All are very nice. What do you think I should go with?

Other than that, I have a new computer in the works and I'm thinking of buying a new paintball gun. I think I'll hold off on those until my promotion. My 6 month review is this week and I know I've done well--promotion well, probably not but at least raise well. Then that puts me in good standings to get promoted elsewhere.
