Paintings!

The last month or so, I started work in oils for the first time ever. I had avoided them for over a decade because I was terrified of the idea of using REAL CHEMICALS, and didn't understand the properties behind how the paint works very well. If I can stop being a total flibbertigibbet one of these days I'll post photos of the figures I've done. I haven't touched them in years, though, it just seemed like one more thing that ate up my money (they're so expensive!)

I really like the Vampear. He came out reasonably well.

why on earth would someone want to paint a parsnip?! Evil things they are! (the parsnips, not the artist)
They are excellent though :D

The parsnip and tomato definitely give me the feel of the veggie...cold and dry parsnip, and ready to burst with flavor tomato.

Thanks! I fiddled with the Vampear a lot, and completely changed the background at one point.

And I can do that, because it's oils! WOO HOO!
