I've mostly settled into the new place. I still get nervous late at night if I hear something outside, and I'll still jump at odd noises, but otherwise I think I've gotten pretty comfortable. Even though I miss my mom kind of a lot, I like the quiet.

Mostly I just sit around and watch stuff on my Xbox. Or play on my Xbox.

It took me forever to get used to living out of my parents house. And when I'm sick it's really hard not to ask one of them to drive ~30 miles to make me soup.

My parents are roughly the same distance from my place. Luckily I haven't been sick yet, but I've been driving back and forth and do laundry. It's almost cheaper just to go to a laundromat, but I like being home to visit. I really, really miss my mom.
