Naruto ch.401-550

Did some major catching up. These are more like random oneliners while reading the Naruto manga. Since most of my friends are as behind (or even moreso) on this series than I was, just using LJ as a means to rant/rave in.

Anyway, one thing hasn't changed. I still don't like Sasuke apparently. Spoilers from chapters 459-550.

Read chapters 401-458 away from the pc. So just general love for Naruto in those chapters. And Sai redeems himself in my eyes by telling Sakura like it is. I just wish he'd change his wardrobe.

I am a sucker for bodyguards. I love how all the kage's guards are there in an instant when Zetsu pops into the 5 Kage's meeting room unannounced. And I will NEVER GET TIRED of <3ing over Gaara as Kazekage. And Temari and Kankurou

Still trying to figure out why I hate Sasuke so much. I usually like cold-blooded killers. (I've loved Gaara even back when he was still psychotic for example) But his reason. Fuck that shit. I hate people who think they're alone in their pain.

Ah history lesson. Uchiha vs Senju. How comes there's no Senju clan left in Konoha? Though I recall Tsunade calling the first hokage her grandfather... Madara saying he can see the 'fire of the senju clan' within Naruto so meh. We already know Naruto and Sasuke are going to have a fight to end all fights. Don't need bloody history to back it up.

i like how we're seeing the ties of various Akatsuki members to their different villages, even if it's just mentioned in passing. I don't remember what villages they're missing nins of. So I always go 'oh so that's where he's from' each time.

Sasuke trying to kill Sakura from behind. No hesitation, I can definitely respect that kind of resolve at least. And then he goes and sprouts crap about bringing Itachi and his parents and his clan back if Kakashi wanted him to stop. And then I just went back to eyerolling. Losing everything else because of what you've already lost. It's like watching a petulant child throwing a very prolonged, very dangerous tantrum.

Aaah. It's been a while since I've cried at a Naruto chapter. Last one was Asuma's death I reckon. Or maybe when Gaara was revived by that granny. (Don't recall anymore which events happened first.) Anyhow, Minato and Kushina, why so awesome?!? The Uzumaki family (or Namikaze since they'd probably retain Minato's name if they were alive) would have been the crackiest bestest family in Konoha ever.

a;lsdkfjalsdk Gai-sensei!! I never realized how much I was missing him (and his awesomeness) until he showed up again. Gai and his kickass taijutsu does not get enough respect. Going to miss Kisame. I love how Gai recognizes him until the end.

On Nagato being an Uzumaki descendant. Naruto had better NOT evolve a rinnegan in the future. I am sick of these eye battles.

Shikamaru-tousan. <33 I am remotely happy about this because his strategy is probably the only war strategy I'm going to see in this war.

Seeing Ino, Shikamaru and Chouji fight together again. I love it.

Oh. I like that tradition between the Yamanaka, Nara and Akimichi clans. I don't recall if this was every mentioned in the earlier parts of the manga. So I guess that means children from the 3 clans are always teamed up together.

Haha. Man Chouji looks so odd when he loses all that weight. But uhn, so glad to have so much exposure on team 10 this time.

Asuma. T_T I cry again.

FINALLY. I have been waiting several chapters for this. "I'll end this war myself, I'll endure all the hate and pain on my own! That's my role!" Oh Naruto. Though I don't agree on the 'on my own' part, go and kick some ass anyway!

Iruka. He's always so downplayed, but he's done so much for Naruto. OF COURSE he had a letter for him.

a;sldkfjd I'm glad Bee was able to see, and tell Iruka how much he meant to Naruto. I don't think Iruka ever fully realized just how much.

... The poor barrier team. lolol. I felt sorry for them the moment someone said 'all the blood, sweat and tears we've shed have been to create this marvelous barrier'. I love how the captain's still so enthusiastic when he goes "Mission failed!"

Zetsu is seriously the most useful subordinate ever that Madara has.

The flashback fight between the Raikage and Minato. <333 Naruto takes well after his dad in terms of combat strat.

Madara's new mask keeps reminding me of 20th Century Boys.

'He's not driven by hatred. He uses hatred.' This is probably why, I like Madara.

Wow. Naruto sure came up with a ton of rasengan variants in a short amount of time.

Waited this long to see the start of Gaara's fight. :3 I think I should have waited longer (like once the war ended) before catching up to Naruto...

Father and son reunion. Haha. So surprised at Gaara having friends. Look dad, I'm kazekage now. a;lsfkjds winner.

I love how the Tsuchikage butts in to say Gaara's commander general of the army. Like a proud grandpa.

Lololol. The former mizukage. "Charisma oozes out of people without eyebrows, you know! Hot damn! I don't have eyebrows either!"

Gods. Loving how the former tsuchikage, mizukage and raikage just keep squabbling.

Technically I STILL haven't seen Gaara fight.

Samehada getting mad and whacking Bee on the head for using him to cut the fireball. So cute. Haha. Best sword ever.

It's pretty hilarious when you're fighting an enemy that's telling you how to defeat them or cheering you on...

I've always liked Itachi, and was kinda meh when we found out he wasn't actually a bad guy, but I guess I could forgive that. This fight let me know that I still like him despite it.
