I suppose I've got used to it after all these years, and I should get used to it, since I want to be a writer, but there are times when I do feel terribly lonely.
I've missed you since you left. It was nice to have someone around as an excuse to get me out more often. Frances and her friend Marta are coming over on Thursday. It'll be nice having them here for the weekend...
It's not any help, but it's nice to know someone cares enough about me to miss me. What weird comments? I don't pronounce any weird comments! My comments are absolutely sensible and are always related to the context of the lecture being given. Like when I said "Romeo is thinking with his dick" and when I told you to note the codpieces they were wearing in the battle scene of Zeffireli's "Romeo and Juliet". Or the reference to Little Red Riding Hood/Marianne, Big Bad Wolf/Britannia when we were talking about Fachoda in History and Culture of the English Speaking Countries... http://www.lyc-arsonval-brive.ac-limoges.fr/broussolle/IMG/jpg/fachoda.jpg Oh! And constant reference to "Diana and Ana"/"Diana enana" in our first and second year making us giggle... Those were the days, my friend, thought they would never end...

If it's any help, I also miss you a lot. Classes are just not the same without your weird comments. :P
