Charlie was put down earlier this afternoon. We buried him at my mums next to Sooty, my old cat. I hope he is at rest now.

Oh god. Myself, my Mother and Ben have just been to see Charlie at the vets. He looks so much worse than when we left him on Tuesday morning. He's on a drip and just sits there not interested in anything. He looked up briefly when he heard our voices but that was it. We spent ages just stroking him and talking to him. The vets called earlier and told me that there hasn't been much change in his condition. The drugs they gave him to stimulate his appetite and fight the infection made his vomit. Took Charlie to the vets this morning. He's had to be hospitalised and put on a drip etc. They need to run some tests but he's been given a 50% chance of survival. We now have to wait for the vet to call. I am trying very hard not to cry at work.

Cyber has come in this morning with two fresh scratches on his just healed up bad ear. Stupid bloody creature. If that goes nasty again I'm going to scream. Had a nice day today. Didn't get out of bed until veh veh late and then mooched into town. Wandered round looking at the same old shit as always and then went to see Ben in the shop. Nice lacy and totally unproductive day- hurrah! I should take time off work more often ( Read more... )

25 years of age today and my cat decided to be ill today. £150 odd vet bill. Poor moggy. Fingers crossed for the blood test results. :(
