Team GBIt's a phrase I've used myself. It seems the be the generally accepted way of denoting the "home" team in the 2012 Olympics. For example, when talking about the football team, (which includes a few Welshmen) commentators frequently have to correct themselves from "England" to "GB". I thought the Olympics was all about individual, rather than national, effort. Maybe we need a new Olympics where amateur athletes can compete fairly and openly against other amateurs in an atmosphere free of corporate sponsorship and nationalism. Then it won't matter where the athletes come from. To an extent this is happening for grown ups: http://www.imga.ch.
