Cafeteria: Hot and Sour Soup review

So I've always known in the back of my mind not to trust the ethnic food from company operated cafeterias, not that I've learned from experience. Today I was in the mood for soup (like the other 99% of the time), and the thought of something hot and sour is especially enticing lately. The soup of the day in the cafeteria is Hot and Sour Soup. FWIW, our cafeteria has pretty good chinese food. Every day. It helps, I suppose, that most of the cooking staff is chinese. :-)

Your soup story reminds me of the kung pao chicken I had at a place in Orlando. Basically, I see three requirements for kung pao chicken. Y'need peanuts, y'need chicken, y'need hot peppers.

They had chicken, cashews and no hot peppers. But they swore to me that was their kung pao.

The food and most soup in this cafeteria are usually quite good, not that I'm a picky eater either. I still haven't gotten up the courage to try their tofu stir fry (which actually looks good) nor their Indian dishes yet.

Yeah I read it, but I forgot about it when I posted my entry. The first thought that came to mind as I read about the sauces was plastic marinate bottles. They probably just dump it from a premade product.
