Harry kills Voldemort?1
I dunno, probably.. but i finished re-reading HBP today and here are some of my speculations (and reasonings) before the book comes out..
I'll start with the obvious, and work my way out into the realm of creative guessing..
-> R.A.B. is Regulus Black
A~ Otherwise, why would JKR make a point of noting how he betrayed Voldemort and died shortly thereafter? Correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think he was ever mentioned before HBP..
B~ I also think he probably didn't get a chance to figure out how to destroy the locket/horcrux and left it hidden in Grimwald Place..
~~If A and B, then C~ It would be interesting if it had been one of the objects Mundungus Fletcher stole and was attempting to pawn..
-> I don't think Severus is evil
~ For this to work he would probably have to have been A) lying to Bella and Cissy about already knowing the plan, or B) not realized that they would not only bind him to protect Draco, but also to carry out the plan if he failed..
~ Hagrid heard Severus tell Dumbledore that there was something he didn't want to do anymore, and Dumbledore told him he had to.. if Severus had told Dumbledore of the Unbreakable Vow then this would make sense, otherwise i can find no other topic they might have been arguing about..
~ Dumbledore knew all about Draco's plans to kill him and made it clear that the only things he didn't know where those that Draco refused to tell Severus, therefore Severus very likely told Dumbledore everything he knew..
~ Even though Dumbledore was weakened and out of it, i don't believe he was begging for his life, rather the opposite, because he valued Severus's life more than his own (like Harry's)
-> Whether Severus is good or evil, I'm very afraid he will die in this final installment.. whether Harry gets the revenge he so wants, or in a sacrifice to save Harry or help defeat Voldemort...
-> I still think Draco is a werewolf.. (am i really the only one in the world that thought that while reading HBP??) but even if he's not, i don't think he's a Death Eater, or has a Dark Mark yet.. mostly because i think that he would have had to earn that, and Voldemort probably thought that he'd get killed trying to kill Dumbledore anyway.. and he obviously wouldn't have been able to kill Dumbledore, or probably anyone directly, even Harry recognized that, so i think he'll prove to be anti-voldemort by the end..
-> I also think Harry will return to Hogwarts, otherwise the naming of the books (Year 1-Year 7) doesn't make sense.. and it's a children's book and JKR would get a lot of shit for having the main character (or three if Ron and Hermione go with Harry like they want to) drop out of school... ^^;
-> I think Dumbledore will make an appearance, either through the portrait, as a ghost, or perhaps he even had a horcrux or similar of his own..
-> I think Harry will have to die to defeat Voldemort.. and become The Boy Who Died (So Everyone Else Could Live).. perhaps Voldemort's intention of making a horcrux by Harry's death backfired and ended up creating it in Harry's scar when his body died.. (it is never mentioned if you say the spell to make one before you do the killing or after)
perhaps more (and crazier ones) later.. ^.^
