※In order to prepare for the You&Jin concerts, Akanishi Jin will not be part of the KAT-TUN LIVE TOUR 2010.

Wow, I couldn't believe this when I first got the fan club email.  Akanishi in LA.  At the time, all I could think of was, WHY must I be in Japan and not in the US? Because I would LOVE to attend this even if I did see You&Jin in Tokyo.  Then I read that last little bullet point and all my excitement started to fade.  KAT-TUN will be doing their summer tour with shows outside Japan for the very first time, without Jin.  As i live in Japan, this means that I won't be able to see him.  I was very excited about attending the summer tour because it will probably be my very last summer in Japan, but now I am not sure if I want to see it.  Jin is one of the group's main vocalists so how can they hold a concert without him? I also feel it will cause the ticket sales of their tour to suffer which doesn't make me happy at all.  Espeically not after all the 'they have to give tickets away for free to fill the Dome' rumors that happened during last year's con.

There are a ton of magazine articles out now that say the Asia tour was planed with Akanishi attending but that he recieved an offer to hold his solo con in LA and that his band and Johnny agreed to have him do the LA shows. I get it and am super happy for him, but I do not understand why these 3 shows in LA mean that he must miss the entire concert tour.  I also really worry about how well he will be received in the US. I can only imagine how hard my US friends would laugh at hearing, say, Lovejuice for example.  Even I couldn't listen to that song all the way through when I first hear it.....*cringe*.  Also, Jin's English, while better than most Johnny's, is no where near good enough for him to have a US career.

However, I wish him and KAT-TUN all the best.  I hope things work out better than I think they will.
