There's a bruise on Dinah's cheek which is rapidly fading as it heals. She's comfortable in sweatpants and a shirt, and all that general satisfaction that comes from being in her own apartment for once in a very long time

Eliot glances up when pretty much anyone walks into the bar. But most people don't get the same easy grin that Dinah does.
Hey, look at that, there's an empty bar stool next to him! Well, there is after the hapless business man sitting in it gets a friendly nudge and a look from Eliot, anyway.
The return to Eliot's grin is tinged with that sheepish quality one might get one the airing of one's dirty laundry - in this case the disaster area that is her kitchen.
But then, she's also pretty pleased to see him, although she follows the departure of the poor business man with a sympathetic look.

He glanced over at her. "You okay?" She kind of looked like she'd been fighting in a restaurant kitchen. Which was on fire.

And the guy you gave it to her is where he belongs.
Except, it occurs to her as she glances back at the kitchen, he might be talking about the smoke.
"And I think my stove is broken."
That must be it. Not that Dinah's cooking is just that bad.
