is a Paid LJ account really worth it?

I'm trying to decide.  I'd like to be able to have a few more userpics and a few more notifications, but I'm not sure it's really worth the cost.  Have those of you with Paid accounts been happy that you forked over?

accounts, lj

I am, and I will re-up in a month or so, so clearly I think I got my money's worth. Of course, I paid for the userpics, mostly, and I do in fact both have and regularly use about 110 of them. It's up to you whether they would matter that much to you.

($2/month isn't so bad for all that stuff, but only if you'll use *any* of it. Some people don't.)

I do like having a lot of userpics. Guess that's one point on the plus side.

Thanks!

I like my paid account. I've used LJ so much that even without the extra icons, I was happy to put some money into it. That said, I like my icons.

Icons are definitely fun to have lots of. :)

See, that's the thing--for $20, I'd get double the userpics (and gradually accumulate more), but I'd have to pay $30 to get a really decent amount. $20? Sure. $30? I just don't know...

I like it for the icons, and so when I view journals or communities that are sponsored I don't have to see the ads.

That would be nice, not to have to deal with the ads. They can take forever to load sometimes.
