Walter Raleigh was a dream. The kind of man who might have been right if he'd come along before Robert... but Walter hadn't been at court at the right time to have done that. As for Robert... that was best left alone. Now it seemed that if Elizabeth should marry, it would be to a foreign prince or king, she was no longer able to make any choice of her own - the only choice left to her was not to marry, and that seemed to be the way she must go. She would remain the Virgin Queen, at least as far as men were concerned.
For she had discovered ways to play and tease with her girls, her ladies-in-waiting and her wards. Especially Bess, sweet, vibrant, fearless Bess, whose nipples tasted like strawberries and whose cunny tasted like wine. Elizabeth had kept Bess for longer than she had kept anyone else, slept with her more, but no one ever questioned the Queen. Elizabeth would hold Bess close at night and kiss and touch her, watching as the beautiful girl went wild under her hands and lips, her tongue touching that nub that Elizabeth knew gave such pleasure to a woman.
It was sometimes hard to sit there, aloof and removed, on her throne, watching Bess go about her court business. Elizabeth would run wet as a river as she remembered the previous night and anticipated that first touch when they were alone.
Elizabeth let Bess do so much more than anyone ever had. She would touch herself for Bess, her fingers moving on and in her own cunny until she cried out, bathing her hand with her juices.
Bess loved to watch that, then lick off the juices from Elizabeth's hand before using her tongue to drive Elizabeth wild with need. She would then allow Elizabeth to pleasure her, something the Queen never refused, or thought of refusing.
Then they would hold each other, and Elizabeth would allow herself a moment to hope that maybe Bess would stay with her forever. She never spoke it aloud, knowing it was more than she should ever consider offering, but the hope never quite left her heart.
