Golden threadfin bream
Today I bought a fish at the supermarket. Only 1.50! It's call the golden threadfin bream. It's a personal sized fish. I bought it as a whole fish: head, fins, scales attached. Thank goodness for the masterchef show where chef ramsey showed everyone how to descale and debone the fish. I put it in some flour after and pa. Fried it. Quite tasty.

On the subject of new York
So the hurricane of Irene is pretty much over. It was only seriously bad in north Carolina. In NYC it was like a storm. In new ljersey my uncle found a boat outside his house. Everyone is safe and sound though. I'm glad for that. We made up for the loss of NYC with a day in Seattle. We hung out in Capitol hill and had some great Spanish food. It ( Read more... ) -

Last night in my sleep I heard a loud pop. Like a gunshot or a car engine popping. Or maybe it was a dream. It was so loud and it rang through the silence. It made me a little afraid. On my birthday I treated myself.
On my birthday I shared two meals with my family.
On my birthday I spent laying in the sun with a good friend and a good dog.
On my birthday I went to Granville Island and walked amongst the hustle and bustle
On my birthday I spent the evening with friends and laughed all night.
Not bad for a birthday! -

Ability
Ability. What a word. It can mean so many things because you can apply to everything. To have ability. To do what? Ability to do wrong or to do good. Ability to fix mistakes or to rip shit up. Ability to get rid of a clog in your sink or to cause it. There are few words that can be used for every action. I think ability is one of them.

The weather has changed.
and so has my voice. raspy from coughing in mid august. I can't believe it looks so shitty outside. so sad. though i'm going to try and not let the weather make me feel bad. at least it's cool and I can breathe at night! -
Another new thing
This summer I've been eating A lot!!! My ass can vouche for that. Those groupons make it too exciting to pass food up. Yesterday I went to oishii sushi with Elaine and pat and we tried a bit of everything. The deal was for 30 dollars worth of food. Oishii is your very typical Japanese place.
