There are two things I do when I'm depressed. 1) If I'm just somewhat depressed, I get myself near water - a lake, a river, the ocean. Everywhere I've lived, I've known the shortest route to the nearest body of water - right now, it's 1.4 miles down the road to Lake St. Clair. Something really sould-enriching about being near water - and each body of water has a different feel to it. The Missippi river has a serene power to it - it's like Wentworth Miller (hehe) strong, quiet, effective. The Pacific Ocean, has power, it's flashy, it's deep - it's Johnny Depp. The Tiber (Tevere) has quiet, ancient strength, it knows secrets and knows how to keep them - it's Danielle Steele's smile. I haven't completely figured out Lake St. Clair yet, so it's intriguing.

2) When I'm really, really depressed - I go out and buy a big box of crayons and color.
