Ok, so. Pinstar is a genius. I've been having loads of fun with his Sim Of The Month challenge over at BBS. Yeah, yeah, it's the BBS, but the challenge is awesome, really! Pinstar releases a sim each month, and a player has to reach sim-specific goal, while obeying sim-specific restrictions, in as few days as possible. It all started back in June

I loved it! Those little challenges sound like a lot of fun. Thanks for posting about it; I'll have to head on over and give it a try. Although, I can't get distracted from my legacy! I'm on generation 4, which is the farthest I've ever gotten. (Even though my blog is only to G2..I phail at making updates!). Anyhoo, LOVED your little story, and I think Gordon was too cute for words!

Thanks :) Maybe you could play the challenges, while you catch up with the legacy updates? Just a thought. And Gordon is precious, he quickly lost his fat, but his traits kept getting in the way all the time. I was excited to see that the traits actually do matter. Thanks for dropping by!

Oooh! I didn't realise that there were these little challenges around! I guess that's because I mostly avoid the BBS. I realised Pinstar was active there when I went looking for the TS3 legacy rules.

I might have to give this a go when I finish my round of the Hallows legacy and I finish playing + writing Going For Broke. It looks excellent and like a lot of fun. And a great chance to explore various parts of the game.

And Gordon is such a cutie. I love his nose :)

Pinstar really is a natural talent when it comes to thinking up challenges :) I love his back-stories.

I know you're a busy woman with all those RRs and stuff (oh and Going For Broke is awesome!). I'd certainly love to see your take on this when you're done with the Hallows and the Brokes! (In reality though, it took me more than a month to finish Gordon's challenge alone. WTF, I'm so slow!)

A month to do 37 days of in-game time is not too bad. Although possibly a touch on the slow side for Sims 3 :)

I find that in Sims 2 I play at the rate of approx. 1 sim week to 1 RL week. So most of the time my game moves along slowly. With Sims 3 I'm finding that the gameplay goes much quicker for some reason, even when I'm constantly pausing to take pictures. Could be to do with the game itself. Could be that because I play it less often, I actually make the time for it so I have longer TS3 play sessions.

Now that you mentioned it, yes! I used to play TS2 at an even slower rate! It's probably the game itself, my play sessions are the same as TS2 play sessions - rare and long.
