hi! (I do hope ooner doesn't mind me posting this....) but would a few people be interested in a small trade? I don't mind being the person to mix the cd's, as long as everyone has return/stamped envelopes. Just one thing..... IF YOU SAY YOU WILL PARTICIPATE, FOLLOW THROUGH!!!! I tried this once before and a few people never sent their stuff ( Read more... )

Where the heck have you been?!? I miss you!

I haven't made a new mix in quite some time, for a swap or just for myself so I'm totally in. I would say you know I'm good for it, except that I never did send you a copy of my christmas CD, did I? Well, I'll toss that one in the package as well in an attempt to make up for it.

Time frame?

hey! Where have I been? Oh, around... just not around on the Internet, and definitely not on livejournal. I was just thinking about you the other day, though. Do you remember that b-day card you gave me like a year (or two) ago? It had to bedraggled women on a beach and it said "when they woke up the morning after wondering what happened the night before they were comforted to know they still had their hats on." Yeah, I dug it out on my closet the other day and it reminded me of you. So, how have you been? good I hope. Okay, we should catch up, but I have to go to sleep right now if I have any chance of functioning tmr. ttyl! bye

"okay, I guess everyone who is going to reply, has. that makes 5 people. 4 mix cd's. Any suggestions on due dates? I'd suggest a due date that isn't too far away. I think the problem I had last time was that I gave people too much time and lost interest. So... anyway, open to suggestions. :) --susan"

I'm in the process of moving this week, so not too soon I hope. I'll start compiling in my head, but I'll need a bit to put it together and make copies. St. Patrick's Day should work, but I wouldn't say no to an extra week after that ;)

okay, everyone seems to think saint pat's day is a good due date (by the way, out of curiosity I googled saint patrick's day and found out that Ireland has no snakes. no snakes!!! I'm totally moving to Ireland) That's March 17, but that seems a little soon to me. How about we make the due date the 17th, but I'll accept them as late as a week later. After that I'm sending them out, whether your stuff is in or not (unless you e-mail me with a really good excuse, like you died and st pat's ghost came and revived you just for the trade ( ... )

I'd love to participate, although I'm not quite sure how to manage the stamped return envelopes because the stamps would be from Germany, but I think the people at the post office will know what to do about it. :)

So, yes, count me in!

I don't think it will be a problem if you just talk to the post office folks. I can't imagine that this is a new problem for them. If you do run into troubles let me know and we'll figure something out. :)

You could make St. Patricks day the due date, that's memorable...
