So I got an email from blizzad/warcraft saying I was being banned, without much explination. Here is my response:
Hi I am e-mailing you about the account "brittneysux" which I current have registered to this email.
Last week I received an email that I was receiving a "final warning" for account sharing. At that time, I contacted your company to let them know that my password had been stolen and I had been attempting to recover the password. I spoke with Blizzard support via Phone and they told me I most likely had a keylogger and that my password could have been stolen that way. I was more concerned about the 72 hour suspension, but took the advice and ran my anti-virus which I believed took care of everything.
After my suspension ended, I successfully logged in once to my account from my house. Shortly thereafter, my password was stolen again and I once again emailed about my account being compromised. Unfortunately I received no response until the other day, when I received an email telling me that the account was being banned for "3rd party software".
I called Blizzard support via phone again yesterday and they told me that it once again, sounded like a keylogger. I asked if they could do anything about the ban, but they said to contact you as this happens quite often.
My only explanation can be that they were trying to steal my account to either sell, or farm gold or possibly spam people. I'm really not sure. I believe, however, that you can track at least my IP addresses that I logged in from and see that it was indeed stolen from me and I had attempted to recover the password several times.
I've been playing this game for a little over a year now, and have many friends and have put in lots of time I will never get back.
If you can please look further into this, and see that I was indeed "hacked" and that I did everything I could to recover the account, I would really appreciate it if you could help me and restore the account.
