Miyavi says he is inspired by his kids, and his dream - his dream to die with a smile. So he has to keep improving and achieving something new everyday, so that more people to hear his music. And in order to do that, he needs to create music that is meaningful, music that makes people stronger in their lives.

That's a really great answer, and he was a great person to interview.

"Have you developed any type of 'cravings' from the western world that you miss when you go home, and likewise, ones that you miss when your not at home in Japan?"

(I was just looking at his tweet on 'missing pizza and pop corn from chicago' and i wondered if he had any more 'cravings', whether it was food changes or anything else that he does from habbit / personal tradition ect that he isnt always able to do when travelling in certain areas..... if that makes some kind of sense)

And also, does he ever consider rocking us out from our Xboxes and through movies, like his friends are trying to(such as Gackt)... Any movie roles he'd like to oneday play?, eg. pirates? villians? Elves? Middle earth warriors, SAW victims, Heros on unsinkable ships (hahahaha) ect.

Sorry for the silly questions..(i cant think, but as soon as tomorrow is over i know i'll have so many decent ones i wished i couldve asked) for..

Hahaha, he did say that he missed the popcorn from Chicago! But he says he doesn't eat oily food.

I didn't get to ask your question, sorry! Ran out of time. But he says he wants to keep improving and keep doing new things, so maybe he'll show up on our Xbox one day!

Thanks for asking!

He works so hard and so constantly...composing, rehearsing, business meetings, tour schedule, gym, acupuncture, eating healthy, and that's all after the joys and responsibilities of family.

Yet, he stays on top of all these responsibilities and still clearly continues to be inspired and excited.

I'd love to know if Miyavi will share any secrets for maintaining the discipline and drive to live that way. That would mean a lot to me.

Miyavi says he doesn't know, and that he does it naturally thanks to my family's support. He switches modes really easily - dad mode, CEO mode, artist mode.

I guess that means that he's able to keep the roles in his life separate. He also says he's motivated by the desire to die with a smile, and for people to hear his music. To do that, he needs to create meaningful music that makes people feel stronger in their lives.

The difference between writing songs in English and Japanese? (And has he ever considered releasing an all-English album?)

Thanks for asking here :D

Ooh, an all English album would be so fab. Thanks for the question!

Apparently, not that much! Turns out writing in English is easier for him to create melody and rhythm. Also, hilariously enough, he says his Japanese pronunciation is horrible.
