H&M is an amazing store - there's on in the Mall of America, you know. ;)

I probably had more to say or something, but I'm really distracted. Just wanted to comment saying that America isn't TOTALLY stupid when it comes to Stockholm fashion! (Even if Copenhagen is better!)

I don't think I was saying that, though?
I can't remember if it was the MOA that I shopped at... wait, yes it was! I remember like failing to find it and then *running into it* and being like OMG THEY SELL STUFF LIKE THEY HAVE IN JAPAN!

Or Sweden, whatever XD

But what I'm saying is that H&M sorta modifies their product line, store to store, based on what their market is interested in (so says an expert - my friend Marianne who's way more fashion savvy than I am). So while the US-version may be more varied in color, shape, design, etc., probably matching the general style in Sweden H&M, the Harajuku version in Japan consists almost entirely of black or dark-toned colors, conservative designs, resembling more business-y posh-y elegant conservative style. Probably less Stockholm and more uptight London.

Not that London is uptight, but I'm referring to areas in London that are. I don't know much about London but this is what I hear about Japanese fashion.

Seriously though. I picked out a berry-colored jacket and a bright royal-blue-colored silky shirt, and a black wool pencil skirt. But like seriously, EVERYTHING was black. In the skirt area, it was hard to tell the differences between the skirts because they were all black and generally the same design and size. There were like literally 5 bright red ones on the rack that were marked down becuase no one was buying them.

Jackets, blouses, pants, shirts, skirts, everything was black black black.

Also, everything I bought was originally like $50+ marked down to $10-$15 because they were making way for their spring collection.
