Not a remake. It's an FF VIII sequel, hence the "-2". They did that with FFX.

The "remake teaser" (which I totally refuse to believe is an actual confirmation of a remake) is actually taken from a secret ending in Crisis Core for the PSP. There's a video embed in the link I posted above. ^_^

As for the VIII-2, my friend tells me it's fake. It was taken from a Malaysian publication who used the Rinoa image to promote some MMORPG event or some such... Hmm. Regardless. An FFVII-2?! What were they thinking?!?!
