The return home after the holiday seemed bittersweet as Nichkhun, Wooyoung and Alex continued to reel and reminisce of the time they had at the lodge. It was a few days away from the new year and since Nichkhun had taken care of Christmas so beautifully, Wooyoung wanted to assure that the new year celebration would be just as special. Since school was still out for the winter season, Wooyoung had brought Alex to the market to buy some groceries for their new year’s eve dinner, upon arriving at the store Alex saw a familiar face grinning from ear to ear.
“Miss IU! Miss IU!” The boy laughed as he went running towards her giving her a hug.
“Hi Alex!” The soft voiced teacher seemed delighted to see her student. “Where is your dad?” She asked. Wooyoung followed the boy and smiled.
“Happy New Year Ms. IU.” Wooyoung greeted her.
“To you the same, Mr. Jang. Did you both have a nice Christmas?” Miss IU asked.
Before Wooyoung could answer Alex started to speak. “Yeah, Daddy Khun took us to the mountains, and we played in the snow, and I got a lot of toys.” Alex smiled cheerfully.
“You did? Wow, sounds like you had a great Christmas.” Miss. IU smiled. “But who is Daddy Khun?” She asked.
“I have two daddies now, Daddy Woo who is my dad, and Daddy Khun who is also my dad.” Alex said unknowing to how his statements appeared. Wooyoung laughed nervously and looked away in embarrassment.
“I see. That’s great Alex, you’re very lucky to have such two great dads.” Miss. IU smiled. She looked up at Wooyoung and smiled.
“I didn’t know that you and Mr. Nichkhun were in a relationship.” Miss IU said.
“I know this looks weird, I honestly can explain it…it’s all very new to us, even for myself but so you know, yes…Nichkhun and I are together.” Wooyoung admitted.
“I see.” The woman said with some disappointment in her voice. “Well then, I’m very happy for you. Having two parents will definitely help Alex in the long run. If you’ll excuse me…” Miss IU started to walk away.
“I don’t expect people to understand, I know we are not the conventional family - but Nichkhun loves Alex very much, and you can trust me when I say he has every right to be in Alex’s life.” Wooyoung said to appease any confusion.
“I don’t doubt Mr. Nichkkhun loves Alex. I’m sure he loves him very much, but Mr. Jang - when will you tell him?” Miss IU asked.
“Tell him what?” Wooyoung asked.
Miss IU walked back towards him and whispered in his ear to prevent the boy from hearing. “That he is Alex’s real father.”
Wooyoung’s breathing hitched and his eyes got wide. “How did you know?”
“Mr. Jang they look alike, and it’s clear that neither father nor son are aware of this, yet for some reason I know you know. You need to tell him, otherwise further risk ruining your relationship with both father and son.” Miss IU said then walked away.
Wooyoung felt a lump in his throat, knowing that the teacher was right, he did need to come clean with the truth, but he knew how much the truth would risk him losing Nichkhun.
Meanwhile, Nichkhun had returned to work, to catch up on the things he had left unfinished before leaving for the holidays. As he busily worked his assistant came in.
“Sir, your two o’clock appointment is here.” She announced.
“Thank you, please remind me who I am meeting with again?” Nichkhun realized he wasn’t prepared for this meeting.
“Sir, it’s Victoria Song.”
“I agreed to meet with her?” Nichkhun couldn’t remember confirming this appointment.
“Sir, you have a contract with her. You meet with his quarterly. “ His assistant reminded him.
“Yes, of course.” Nichkhun remembered. “Please send her in.” Victoria walked in with her usual confidence, draped from the hem of her short skirt She clutched her purse under one arm and with the other held a gift, wrapped in gold paper with a white ribbon.
“Since you didn’t make it to my Christmas party, I thought I’d bring you your present today.” She smiled and went in to kiss Nichkhun’s cheek but the other quickly diverted her shaking her hand.
“Miss Song, gifts should not be accepted between contractor and client.” Nichkhun remarked.
“Relax, it’s just one of those nice wine openers.” She rolled her eyes and laid the gift on his desk. “Don’t tell me you’ve stopped drinking wine because you’re a parent now.” Victoria smiled as she sat in one of the office chairs.
“How did you know?” Nichkhun asked suspiciously.
“I had one of my men follow you. He reported that you and your…fiancé have a four year old son. Alex.” Victoria smiled.
“You followed me?” Nichkhun asked disgusted. “You’re so low.”
“I needed to know exactly what you traded me for? Besides, I think you and Wooyoung are absolutely cute together. Did you take him to the lodge yet?” Victoria asked.
“Victoria!” Nichkhun raised his voice.
“What? Oh my gosh, you are such a drama queen Khunnie. You know how I am, you know I would be curious. Besides, I’m completely over you. You always wanted a family, and you know how I feel about children. I’m sort of very happy for you.” Victoria folded her hands in her lap.
“What is this about really Victoria? Are you here for business or just to taunt and probe me?” Nichkhun asked.
“A little bit of both.”
“What do you want to know? I’ll just tell you so you don’t have to sneak around my life.” Nichkhun declared.
“Khunnie, relax. Besides, there’s only so much I can do. I wouldn’t do anything to stop you from living a happy life. That little boy of yours is absolutely adorable, he’s like your mini-me.”
“What makes you say that?” Nichkhun asked.
“He looks exactly like you. Big eyes, that smile, that nose… my god, haven’t you noticed?” Victoria laughed amused. Nichkhun saw so much of Wooyoung in Alex’s mannerism that he had never really paid attention to the fact that Alex and he did have similar physical attributes.
“Alex is Wooyoung’s son. If he looks like me it’s entirely a coincidence. It’s probably because his mother had those attributes. What are you trying to insinuate?” Nichkhun said.
“Nothing. I know absolutely nothing. I’m just stating my observations.” Victoria said. “Can we talk business now?” She smiled.
At the end of the day Nichkhun was so exhausted he wanted nothing but to go home and fall asleep, unfortunately this being New Year’s eve he wanted to greet the new year with his new family. He sluggishly walked through the door and grunted as Alex came flying into his arms greeting him.
“Daddy Khun!!” Alex laughed and threw his arms in the air.
“Hi Alex.” Nichkhun smiled and hugged the boy. “Were you a good boy today?”
“Mmmhmm.” Alex smiled before leaving a small peck on Nichkhun’s cheek. Wooyoung came into the room immediately sensing Nichkhun’s exhaustion.
“Hey Alex, let’s let Daddy sit. He looks tired.” Wooyoung removed the boy from Nichkhun’s torso and set him on his feet. Nichkhun gave an appreciative smile and kissed Wooyoung softly before he slumped himself onto the sofa. Alex ran to the playroom to play and Wooyoung moved Nichkhun’s feet onto his lap, removing his shoes and proceeded with a gently foot rub.
“You must be so tired, baby.” Wooyoung said apologetically.
“Baby, I am. “ Nichkhun closed his eyes.
“I told you, you should have finished your last projects before leaving for Christmas.” Wooyoung began but was stopped by Nichkhun’s hands reaching for his chin, and his lips pressing against his, as his tongue darted out and was slipped into the younger’s mouth. Wooyoung was taken off guard, but he didn’t resist and his hands went to Nichkhun’s waist for support.
“Khun, let’s stop before we take it too far. Alex is still wide awake and excited for the new year’s celebration.” Wooyoung whispered. Nichkhun smiled and pulled Wooyoung close, resting his head on Wooyoung’s chest.
“Youngie, even though I feel like death, you always seem to give me new life.” Nichkhun said as he closed his eyes.
The midnight hour was fast approaching and Nichkhun and Wooyoung took Alex outside, where the nearby firework display would be showing. Alex was bundled with a warm coat and a large scarf, covering most of his face as the winter snow was still falling. They went outside and a crowd had started to form. Nichkhun placed Alex on a newsstand band so the boy could see better. It was still another hour till midnight and the start of the fireworks show. Nichkhun wrapped his arm around Wooyoung’s waist discreetly while his other hand clutched onto the end of Alex’s scarf.
“This has got to be the best holidays I’ve ever had.” Nichkhun said.
“Me too.” Wooyoung smiled. “Thank you, for making it so special.”
“Thank you for letting me be a part of you and Alex’s life.” Nichkhun answered back. He squeezed Wooyoung’s side a little and brought him closer.
“Alex, are you cold?” Nichkhun asked wondering how the boy was doing. He yanked on the scarf but there was no resistance and Nichkhun turned to look to find the scarf hanging off the box and Alex nowhere in sight.
“Where did he go?” Nichkhun asked Wooyoung who looked to his left and noticed the missing boy.
“Alex!” Wooyoung began to call out. “Alex!” His voice turned with worry as the crowd seemed to thicken upon their panic.
“Alex, where are you?” Wooyoung started to walk around.
“Alex, stop hiding, you’re scaring your Dad!” Nichkhun called out as people started to give him a look. “Excuse me ma’am, have you seen a little boy, he’s wearing a blue coat and a red hat?” Nichkhun asked a woman who just shook her head.
“Alex!” Wooyoung’s voice started to shake.
“Baby, let me go look for him, you stay here in case he comes back.” Nichkhun held Wooyoung’s shoulders.
“Khun, I’m scared.” Wooyoung admitted.
“It’ll be okay, maybe he went home. I’ll look for him.” Nichkhun reassured him. Wooyoung calmed down and nodded. Nichkhun began to walk around, looking for the boy’s red hat. He wandered through the crowd looking and searching but Alex seemed to be nowhere. He kept looking till he heard a scream. He ran towards the commotion where Wooyoung stood, a woman holding her son wearing a similar hat.
“I’m sorry, I thought he was my son.” Wooyoung apologized profusely. The woman glared at him holding her son.
“I’ll call the police!” The woman threatened. Nichkhun rushed to Wooyoung’s side.
“Maam, please don’t. We’re just worried, our son ran off and we’re looking for him.” Nichkhun held Wooyoung back. The woman glared and turned to walk away.
“I’m sorry Khun, I thought it was him… I really thought it was him.” Wooyoung broke down.
“It’s okay babe. We’ll find him. He couldn’t have gone too far.” Nichkhun said then suddenly he saw flickering lights nearby from an ice cream stand. “I know where he is.” Nichkhun said grabbing Wooyoung’s hand and leading him. They rushed to the stand and sure enough, the red hat appeared and the boy was eating ice cream. Wooyoung rushed ahead of Nichkhun and kneeled beside Alex hugging him tightly.
“Alex, don’t you ever run off like that again. You scared me.” Wooyoung said with relief.
“Daddy, this lady bought me ice cream.” Alex said with an innocent smile.
“What lady?” Nichkhun asked.
“This nice lady, she had a white coat. She was beautiful Daddy Khun.” Alex said.
Wooyoung looked up at Nichkhun who put his hand on Wooyoung’s shoulder. “Come on, let’s go home. We can watch the fireworks from the balcony in Daddy Woo’s room.” Nichkhun said. They returned home and went to the balcony, which had a better view because they were now above the crowd. “I’ll make us some hot chocolate.” Nichkhun said and left Wooyoung and Alex, the boy still being held by his father.
“Daddy Woo, are you okay?” Alex asked.
“Yeah. I was just so scared, you just disappeared, do you know how scared you made me?” Wooyoung asked.
“I’m sorry Dad.” Alex pouted.
“It’s okay, I’m just glad you’re okay. Don’t ever walk away from me like that again, okay?” Wooyoung instructed him and the boy nodded hugging him closer. They waited for Nichkhun to return and as he did he brought a tray of hot chocolate and a plate of cakes. They watched the fireworks display at midnight striked. The boy gave each of his father’s a hug and as they tucked the boy to sleep that night Nichkhun and Wooyoung retreated to their bedroom.
Nichkhun had already been in bed, sitting reading a book as he waited for Wooyoung to exit the bathroom. “Khun, thank you so much for keeping me calm tonight. I…I really don’t know what I would have done if I couldn’t find him.” Wooyoung said standing at the edge of the bed. Nichkhun called him over and Wooyoung leaned into him and Nichkhun wrapped his arms around the man’s shoulders.
“I’ve never seen you so scared before. I almost wanted to cry too, I really don’t know what I would have done if we didn’t find him. I know how much Alex means to you, he means so much to me too. I’m just glad he was okay.” Nichkhun said pressing his lips against Wooyoung’s head. “I love you Youngie.” Nichkhun said. Wooyoung looked up and he could feel Nichkhun’s strength, not only in his arms but in his eyes. He sat up and leaned a forward, taking Nichkhun’s lips against his. He kissed him, this time taking the dominant role, his hands massaging NIchkhun’s bare chest and torso. “Happy New Year Babe.” Wooyoung said softly as he broke the kiss and pulled down his sweat pants. They continued to kiss, Wooyoung’s naked boy laying atop of Nichkhun, the younger’s hands roaming downward to push off the older’s pajama bottoms. Nichkhun lifted his hips upward, taking Wooyoung with him as his pajamas fell off the edge of the bed. Once both men were naked, Nichkhun rolled Wooyoung onto his back this time taking control of the kiss as his hands rested on Wooyoung’s waist and slowly began to massage downwards towards his thighs. Wooyoung moved his legs slightly, allowing Nichkhun to fit between them, his hands roaming the muscles on Nichkhun’s back, urging him for more, allowing him for the taking.
Nichkhun’s kisses move downwards, Wooyoung’s chin, Wooyoung’s neck, Wooyoung’s collarbones, his chest, his abs, his navel and finally at his member. Nichkhun took Wooyoung’s entire length into his mouth, lovingly massaging it with his lips and tongue. He didn’t waste any time despite wanting to take his time to pleasure his mate, and began to suck hungrily on Wooyoung till the younger started to thrust upward with each slurp, Wooyoung’s hands moving towards Nichkhun’s hair, grasping and it and pushing his head down to meet each of his thrusts. Wooyoung’s voice started to hitch as his breathing increased, the moist pressure on his member starting to intensify as his eyes met Nichkhun’s loving stare, then Nichkhun increased his pressure and Wooyoung’s eye instinctively went close, his head thrown back as his back arched and his hips thrusted forward, the tip of his member hitting the back of Nichkhun’s throat as his juices spilt into the other’s mouth, the older swallowing it all eagerly.
It took Wooyoung a few moments to catch his breath as Nichkhun watched him massaging his inner thighs. When his breathing had come back to normal, Wooyoung opened his eyes meeting Nichkhun’s as Nichkhun’s middle finger ghosted over his entrance. Wooyoung reached down and took Nichkhun’s hand and with his fingers in Nichkhun’s palm, Nichkhun started to enter him. Soon he was ready and Nichkhun moved his body between Wooyoung’s legs. He slowly entered Wooyoung and Wooyoung gave himself entirely, as Nichkhun slowly started to push in and out. Wooyoung reached up and met Nichkhun with a kiss, and as their kiss intensified, Nichkhun’s thrusted started to go deeper and faster. Nichkhun was becoming impatient as his member started to rub against Wooyoung’s prostate, the younger squirmed with pleasure wanting more friction. Nichkhun could feel Wooyoung’s body tense up so he reached down and started to pump his member and Wooyoung’s body gave in sending another stream into Nichkhun’s hand. Nichkhun was close he looked down at Wooyoung, the younger lovingly caressed his cheek. Nichkhun could feel tears well up in his eyes and couldn’t help but cry at the way Wooyoung looked at him so lovingly. Nichkhun leaned down and kissed the other just as he released himself inside of Wooyoung, the younger holding him close, their kiss locked till Nichkhun caught his breath.
They laid in bed and watched the starts outside, a light snow started to fall. “Happy New Year, baby.” Nichkhun said as he played with a strand of Wooyoung’s hair. “I love you.”
“Even if I did something really bad?” Wooyoung asked his guilt starting to take over.
“Wooyoung, even if you broke my heart into a million pieces, I’d still love you.” Nichkhun said sleepily and soon was fast asleep. Wooyoung had to wonder if this would be true when he told Nichkhun the truth… but his body grew tired and his eyes fell heavy with sleep.
The next morning Nichkhun awoke in bed alone. He got up and checked Alex’s room, the boy fast asleep, tired from the night before. NIchkhun went in and kissed the boy softly on his cheek and decided he’d start breakfast. He went downstairs and found Wooyoung sitting at the kitchen table. He walked over and kissed the man on the mouth.
“You didn’t wake me.” He said.
“Khun…we have to talk.” Wooyoung said looking up, his eyes desperately trying to hold back his tears.
“Youngie, what’s wrong?” Nichkhun knelt down and wiped his tears.
“Khun, there’s something I’ve been needing to tell you and I want you to understand that I did it because I love you, because I love Alex.” Wooyoung said.
“What is it Youngie, just tell me.” Nichkhun pleaded. All of a sudden there was a knock at the door. Wooyoung looked up and got up to answer the door, Nichkhun following him.
“Yes?” Wooyoung answered as four police men stood at the doorstep.
“Jang Wooyoung?” One of them spoke.
“Yes, I am he.” Wooyoung asserted.
“You are under arrest.” The police officer said grabbing his hands and began to place handcuffs on him.
Nichkhun was in panic. “Arrest? For what?!” He demanded to know.
“Kidnapping.” Another police officer informed him.
“If it’s about that child last night, it was all a misunderstanding, we had lost our little boy and Wooyoung mistook that child for him.” Nichkhun tried to reason.
“Not him.” The police officer spoke. “He’s being charged for the kidnapping of Alex Jang. He stole that child from the hospital four years ago. Someone finally reported him.” The officer continued.
Nichkhun was confused and he looked at Wooyoung, the other hiding his eyes, but his tears still visible.
