Well, this is my first translation ever. I'm still learning and studying Japanese so I know there are going to be some errors. I apologize in advance, but just know that I did my best! It's a bit short, but I wanted to give it a try.
Enjoy♡
I wanted to study English properly about two and a half years ago. First of all, as a student, my English was poor. Even in Jr. high school and high school, English was my worst of the five subjects. When we went overseas for work as Jrs., the Jrs. who could speak English would have to interpret for me (laugh). But, I was worried as a solo artist, so I began to feel the need for English. My journey across America on Route 66 was an opportunity. I touch on English as much as possible in my free time. Novels, Steve Jobs' biography, or books that interest me; I am able to read in English. I listen to music while carefully reading the English song lyrics card. Touching on English frequently, there are times when (I think), "The word written in this book, it's the same one from before in that song, isn't it?" Speech is connected word by word and it becomes fun to keep up with meanings. If I have children, I want them to memorize English from a young age. Even if my children hate me for it, they'll definitely be grateful to me when they become adults (laugh). Recently, I worked with a nine year old child actor, and I was surprised that she spoke properly using honorifics. When I was nine years old, I did not know to use honorifics. Children are able to absorb anything. I would like everyone to study with "Otona no KISS Eigo." Just watching every week with your usual smile is good. There might be a time when you'll notice a word and say, "This word was said by the guy on Otona no KISS Eigo!" In order to UP everyone's English skills, I will do my utmost to make the show interesting! Lastly, I will teach the readers a phrase they can use. Try saying [You are so fabulous.] to praise someone. That means「すごくステキだね」. I learned this from a friend who was studying abroad, but rather than normal praise, it feels more stylish, right (laugh).
***[You are so fabulous] was already in English, haha. Thank you,
