No Work for Me + Gundam Obsession + TC News
Spent these last days looking for a job, and ended up kind of depressed because, as I supposed, nobody wants a 23-year-old with no previous experience ^^u Tomorrow I'll try handing my CV on the airport, but my hopes aren't too high.
In the meantime, I managed to get really, really obsessed with Gundam SEED/Destiny...
I never thought I could like it so much, since I really thought mecha anime wasn't for me. That was the reason I kept "avoiding" it despite lots of recommendations... now I must admit I was completely STUPID for not watching it earlier T___T Six episodes and I'll finish Destiny, which I'm enjoying, but I'm not absolutely loving and adoring it like SEED. I cried with almost every SEED episode I watched >_> After the first episodes, you start getting really obsessed and desperately wanting to see the next one. Klueze was a very charismatic antagonist and the series does a great job portraying how war affects individuals and their personal relationships in very different ways. Their questions, doubts, sufferings, love... end up being yours too, and that's what I truly loved about the series.
And now to the fangirl-ish impression... it can be summarized in a short sentence: I simply adore Mwu! *^^* and MwuxMurrue *_* (but don't get jealous, clow_shirow, you know he can't take your place :P). My recent icons should have given you a clue already XD Actually, I liked almost all the SEED cast except for Fllay, and I wasn't very fond of Dearka either ^^u TolleMiri is my second favourite pairing and, surprisingly, I didn't like KiraxLacus, or Lacus herself (even if she's beautiful, intelligent, determined and strong) as I thought I would O_o Even if I noticed there wasn't actual "love" between her and Athrun, and that her lessons eventually made him grow as a human being... I didn't like it when she left his side, and that's still in my mind, no matter how many great things she may accomplish, or how strong and beautiful is the bond between her and Kira. I don't know why, but I sort of forced myself to like her because I thought I'd love her when I first saw her... but I can't (sorry, lacus, don't kill me! >__>).
In Destiny, nobody caught my attention (I'm not couting Neo, of course XD) in a special way except for Stellar: she's so fragile, so beautiful, childish, but at the same time so scarred and merciless that her complexity made me fall in love with her. She could have been happy, but her reality is that she's tied up to a horrible life with no memories among death and drugs from which she can't scape no matter what. And ShinnxStellar is really cute, even if I don't really like Shinn's attitude in most situations apart from when he's with her (but even if I don't like him, I accept Shinn just reacted in a different way to his "emotional wounds" than Kira or Athrun did, which is a good change for a main character).
And before going off to translate Tsubasa #37, there's something I noticed on the anime official website last week, which I only commented on Crossed-Destinies' Forums: this week we finally start with Lecourt after all those fillers, with the episode "Black Steel" (only one episode for Kuro's past? >____>), which will be followed next week by "The Secret of the Library". But next Saturday (August 12) there will be one of those well-known baseball broadcasts, so no Tsubasa for us. The interesting thing is that the following week we won't have a new episode either, but a re-broadcast of the one titled "A Date with the Magician" (yup, the Fye/Chii filler -_-u). This: 放送休止（高校野球中継中止・終了の場合、アンコール放送を予定） is what the official site says, but apart from the baseball thing, I can't figure out the rest with my poor knowledge of Japanese. Maybe it's a simple pause because, I don't know, they need a little break, but could it be that they're getting to close to the manga and want to plan what they're going to do? Will they complete this season with fillers, or will they start Tokyo even if we're still in that world in the manga? Or maybe they'll mess up with it badly and substitute it for a "My Little Pony"-style world because there's no way in hell they would allow all the blood we're seeing lately? XD
