I went to the allergy doctor last week, the week before...I don't remember. Since the Alvesco has had no affect on my cough, he told me to stop it and wrote me an order for a methacholine challenge, which is another breathing test to verify if I have asthma for sure or not. Sorry for the lag in reply. I've been so tired after work, I haven't checked lj all week.

I notice I cough more at home with the dust and cat dander, so I'll have to remember to mention that. The cough has been random, and I really, really do not believe it's all simply caused by one thing like asthma.

One of my children coughed for 13 mths, and it wasn't until she started coughing blood (just from the continual strain), that she was finally put on asthma meds. BUT, my doctor gave me a large bottle of antihistamines as well, and I could sometimes avoid the asthma attacks before they started.
I did know what triggered them by then. She would break out in hives immediately she contacted anything she was allergic to.
