Everything Hurt and Nothing Was Beautiful

Jul 23, 2009 18:42

So I found out that a friend of mine found this journal, and read out some choice bits to an ex boyfriend of mine.

I don't hate them because they apologised and told me, but recently I've been thinking more and more how upset and hurt I am by it. Why would you do it? More so, why would you laugh over it? I know there is something childish and stupid ( Read more... )

I would like to be kept. I'm horrified that someone would do that, and I hope that whoever it was understands what an awful thing they did. To me that is just...the height of spiteful. Sure, you posted it on the internet and you didn't lock your posts, so yes, they could have been stumbled across, but for someone to find it and then read it out to your ex? Just because the opportunity is there, doesn't mean it should be taken. I'm sorry that happened to you, and I hope you're okay.

That does sound like a horrible thing to do but it seems that they regret their stupidness. I know it doesn't put those questions in your head to rest though and I hope it gets easier to deal with in time. Friends being confusing like this is never easy to deal with :(.

I never view keeping an internet blog as being childish really. It might not be something that everybody does and is more of a 'younger person' thing (only really saying that cos it seems like a lot of people I see who keep journals are of a similar age to me and aren't middle aged or anything) but I don't necessarily makes it childish. I think it's good for everyone to have some way to vent and using a blog is a good way of doing that.

I don't use Twitter, still a Facebook person and even more of an LJ person. I know we haven't spoke that much in the last few months so feel free to unadd me if you want. I'll understand seeing as I haven't been in your life that much lately.

Simon :)

Why on earth would they do that? Seriously :(

Well love, obvs I would like to be kept, and I am still active on this thing. I like twitter but I prefer LJ to actually be open and divulge my thoughts fully...so yeah.

Love you x

That's such a shitty thing to do, I can't believe someone would do it. Like, fair enough accidentally finding your lj, even discussing what they'd read with another mutual friend of yours would be bad enough, but reading stuff you've said about him to an ex is just awful.

Anyway, I would love to still be added please :)

I'm reading.

Also, years back, the "friend finds a journal and reads shit from it" thing happened to me, too, which prompted my initial friends-only lockdown. It sucks. I'm sorry you had to deal with it.
