I didn't understand or appreciate The Game of Kings at first. Not even at first, really - for the first 150 pages or so. I stuck with it, and I'm not entirely sure why, but I'm glad I did

That it's part of a series makes me nervous but, well, some of my favourite books come in series, don't they? Added to my want-to-read list for sure, thanks!

I hope you like it! I can see it appealing to you. There are six books in the series, I believe.

Good to know. I don't mind that, but I think I will wait a while before I read the next one so I have some mental recovery time. This is the kind of book I need to be in the right mindset for.
