Book #73: The Meaning of Maggie

The Meaning of Maggie is a young adult novel that I read for work. A student asked me to read it so that always means it's a must read. I had already bought it for my library based on the reviews. Having had some insight into other people's kid dealings lately, I can promise there is a HUGE amount of variation in how open parents are with their kids about their own lives & internal state, not to mention Big Topics like religion, politics, death and sex. (My parents, it turns out, were far more open with me than some people are with their kids.) So I'm a bit curious what I would think of this "extreme honesty". I probably won't read the book though.
