Christmas recap
I'm still doing well, adjusting slowly but surely to my new surroundings. I've been job-hunting, resting, and making sure I keep the new place as tidy as possible.
But, here is how my weekend went. It was a fun one. :)
So Friday was fun. I filled it with visiting with Cindy and her friend Nia, along with a bit of food and a lot of movies. Justin arrived that evening, we watched a couple more flicks, then I went back to his place with him. It was great to see Cutty and Jeanette, and to meet Colton (Jeanette's son).
Saturday was spent in a couple spots. We spent much of the day at the house, replete with a full Christmas dinner courtest of Jeanette. That evening, Justin and I went to a Christmas party held by his boss and her husband. It was great to meet her and some of his co-workers, and I'm glad he is so well-liked by them.
Sunday was already fun and became even more so. Justin and I picked up Victoria and Jared, and we were joined by Jared's dad and his little brother for a meal at Downtown Disney. I've never been to La Brea Bakery, and I can't wait to go back. What made things so much better was that Justin got me my Christmas gift (with a little help from his family). He got me an annual passport, and us two couples enjoyed a few hours at the park. There were a TON of people there, and a power issue in New Orleans Square took out a bunch of rides and other stuff there. But we had fun as a group regardless, and even got some great photos. We then hit the monorail (only one of which was working...joy) and left so Justin and I could pick up his friend Julie at LAX, then drop me off back here at home.
Today's been quiet. I made a morning munchie run, and have filled out a few job apps here and there. I'll be doing more tomorrow. :)
