I am really liking this. :) Your writing with characterizations and clear explanataions with realistic dial.lgue have all so massively improved over the years. The metaphors are clear but never pound on your head, and I really am ineterested to see more of both cultures and however this continues. :)

Ok, just for reference: The Ancient Hawaiian settlements were all in valleys and "wet" areas of the island, leaving the dry areas for well....dry, arid areas. Ironically, because this dry area is similar to Kunona's Imperial capital, Kunona settlers made themselves right at home in the dry areas. So it is pretty much two completely different places between the deeply entrenched valleys of the Manisti people and the Kunona settlements.

*spoiler*
(not really)

So pretty much, the "annexation" of the Mystic Islands was Silluna putting an intensive magic barrier around it so that it would be difficult to penetrate by normal means.

When I mentioned "moved past Wardred and Creposcle" it doesn't mean he did a blitzkrieg attack- he just didn't care about those countries. He wanted to discover new lands to conquer- ones that haven't been affected by the first war. So he went off the continent to the Southern and Western Continents.

The Mystic Islands have a strong magic aura (and a hidden but easily accessible portal) inside of them and that is this person's target- to get to that portal. Silluna's barrier can only hold up for oh so long.
