Transfer?

I've been spending a lot of time in Charlotte recently. with Travis obviously. and he and I have been talking about pretty serious shit like me transferring and us living together and things like that. and i've been thinking more and more about what exactly Asheville has to offer me as far as academics, and have been debating the pros and cons of ( Read more... )

Oh, I see how it is. :P
Seriously, Charlotte is not much of a college atmosphere. The college is situated very far away from the actual city.
You are definitely right about the lack of diversity in the school population. Everyone just seems like cookie-cutter copies. There are very few diverse student organizations, because of this. Like, it is just about impossible for me to find more DDR players, or anime geeks, or even non-Christians.
There are SOME great teachers here, especially in the philosophy and psychology departments. The architecture department is INSANE here (the students never leave the damn department...). You can find hard workers, but it just seems like I'm back at South Granville. The stuff is there, but it's not the top quality I would like.
Just...REALLY think about this. I think I might be biased because some horrible life decisions led to me ending up stuck here, but the stuff I've put here is some general stuff more than just I have noticed.

I'd love to offer an opinion, but you would probably be better off getting this advice from someone with experience outside of highschool. All I can say is do what you think you should do. But seriously think hard. Just like with any other decision.. dont take it lightly. After you think reaaaalllllly hard go with the one that you dont get any uneasy feelings about.

Mehhh.. excuse the bland and most likely most definitely useless advice. Im sorry.

I LOVE YOU THO!

i know that Travis isn't your only reason, obviously from your list, but you must think of things will be if things end b/t you two...i'm forever the pessimist...college is for education, first and foremost, make your decision based on that instead of love, family, location, or style.
