Little intro about myself

Hi, my name is Sabrina and I'm 19 years old. I recently transfered from GCC to South Baylo University (SBU) which is a school for herbal and oriental medicine. Hi Sabrina,
I've never heard of SBU before. It sounds like a cool school to attend. It seems as though you have alot going on. I know what you mean when you say life can lead you on unexpected paths. Life always has a way of leading me on unexpected paths. I learned to just go with the currents and see where it leads me. I just remember to stay focus on what I want to do and I try not to get distracted, which is hard to do sometimes. Well, I'm not trying to bore you, so I hope to talk to you soon.

WOW!!!! To be 19 again and be able to start off the way you are now would be wonderful. But as you said, life does lead you down some unexpected paths, mine just took me a long time to read the map properly! Good luck.

Hi Sabrina,

It's great that you are moving foward with your dreams. You have a learned a very valuable lesson already: Life is very unpredictable. A friend of mine studied Chinese medicine and had a wonderful acupuncture practice in San Francisco. I went to her with chronic pain and she did an acupunture treatment on me, the pain was gone and it has never come back. I was very skeptical and would never have gotten acupunture if it hadn't been my friend, but it really worked.

That is fascinating blend of majors, Sabrina. The NIH recently developed a branch for "complimentary" medicine, and it should help add credence to non-western approaches to medicine. There is so much to be studied in that area. If you ever have a chance to roam UCLA's BioMed library, visit the 13th floor. It has a section on medical history, and it contains some wonderful books on Indian and Chinese Medicine (which predate Hippocrates by at least a thousand years). Maybe your blend of majors will enable you to help advance the field.
