Who's the real 7 billion ton robot monster here?

mark_o_rama, how have you not posted about the 60 foot Gundam that was constructed in Tokyo? I particularly love the glowing eyes. That's a sure sign that it will come to life and kill all humans.

Late last night on the way home from kymkyhgq and rose727's place we saw a beautiful husky dog trying to cross Morris Ave. It was clearly very tame and friendly and scared, so ( Read more... )

That's a nice story, and I am so glad that you took the time to do something. One time I saw a dog on the side of the highway and I didn't register what it was until I was way beyond it. It didn't even occur to me to alert the police! I hope the doggie finds its home.

Yeah, me too. It probably would have been different if we were on the highway, since it would be difficult to turn around. Even though Morris Ave is 4 lanes and pretty busy, at least there are traffic lights.

Pffft, call me back when it's rocket-punching a giant radiated iguana :p seriously though, that's awesome, and I'm surprised I haven't heard of it until now.

I had to stop and try to get a small dog (chihuahua, I think, or some mix-breed) from wandering onto my old street in Fort Lee. Which, if you remember, isn't exactly light on traffic. Apparently the owner thought it would be fine to let the dog walk around the fence-less front yard and the dog would be smart enough to not go too far or get scared. Dogs never get scared and dart off into traffic, right? Right?
I don't get people sometimes.

Yikes! It's amazing how people can be such assholes and great that you took the time to keep it off the road.

Come on, you know that thing will be Japan's entry as the ultimate "package artist" after the failure of Rocking Robin.

You guys got so many karma points from that good deed! I'm happy to hear the dog did not end up in the road and someone not allergic was able to take him in. I hope he finds his home, whether it be his old one or a new one.

I really hope she finds a good home - you would have loved her. Super sweet, friendly, trained. The people with us were very patient and kind to her as well, so I think at least she did well with them.
