2017 Snowflake Challenge - Day Thirteen

Yes, I'm late on this one, which is amusing considering I posted it. Such is the life of a single mom with two busy kids.
This is hard, because so many moments I've had because of fandom are so special, so important. I wear a lot of different hats in life (as I'm sure many of us do), but being miz is one of my favorites, one that feels so genuinely close to who I really am.
But I've been thinking about this since I posted (or actually since I wrote the post), and I think I'm going to relate this back to Snowflake itself.
I say in the mod intros every year how honored I am to be part of this challenge. I really, truly mean it. When my dearest aka and luce came up with this and ran it in 2012, I thought it was the Best Thing Ever. I loved being a participant so much, for all the reasons I still love it - how can I not love such a positive start to the year?
When I heard that they were going to run it again in 2013, I crossed my fingers hoping against hope that they'd ask me to help. Because as much as I love participating, the thought that I could actually help run the challenge really called to me. Partially because I love any time I get to spend (online or off) with aka and luce (and then the added awesomeness of hazel, ande and argentumlupine). Partially because I just wanted very badly to be part of something that made things better, even a little bit. I am pretty sure you could hear my happy squee from space when they asked, btw. So yes, I was and am honored and humbled every time I'm asked to help. I've never assumed I'd be asked to each year, but always hoped.
I'm so grateful to everyone who stepped up when aka asked for help this year, too. While I've been a little behind on getting posts done personally, my love and enthusiasm for this challenge is still just as strong.
So yeah, there it is. More than one moment I guess, but all encapsulated under one amazing annual experience.
