Question as another breastfeeding mom. All the Drs say to nurse 15 min on each side. I'm doing good to get him to do 15 period before he goes back to sleep. I try to aggravate and wake him back up, but he just won't suck. How long did yours usually nurse? He seems to be gaining weight ok, I'm just scared.

Unfortunately he does have a preference for fake nipples. He was tongue tied at birth and couldn't nurse so they gave me a medela nipple shell/shield thingy. He'll only nurse with that shell now. I try to get him to go without but he just gets frustrated and hysterical. The down side is the shell just sort of lets it run in his mouth and he tends to gag. He's also had a few bottles cuz I was having to supplement him with forumla til my milk came in. But he's not had any more of that.
Another question. What does your milk look like? Most breast milk I've seen at the school was kinda watery and skim milk lookin. Mine's not at all. Its real creamy lookin like whole milk.

I kid, I kid. But seriously, little babies make me nervous, they're so small and I'm so not small. Which means I might squish them or something. So i tend to stay my distance until they can start moving around a lil on their own. COngrats! He really is cute, and I'm not just saying that. Regularly babies make me think... whoa, that's a human? Tony makes me think... dawwwwwww!
