There was an ad when I was little, for a bathroom cleaner. It's still around, you all know about it - Dow Scrubbing Bubbles, those fat, round-topped little creatures, their feet a whirring of suds too fast to see. The ads still exist. The very first of these, in 1974, showed the bubbles being a bit dismayed at going down the drain after all their hard work. My cousin Johnna would cry her eyes out for their unfortunate demise. I think you and Johnna need to meet.

At the age of four, I think it was, I had nightmares from a commercial which portrayed these huge fumbling fingers on legs that would rattle around the kitchen leaving prints on the fridge, walls, etc. I think it was for Windex, but the faceless, squirming, and clumsy finger-beings still leave me cold.
