(Yesterday my parents called me to tell me I was accepted to Columbia University's Advanced Creative Writing summer program for high schoolers. I'm a little excited)

I am sitting in my pajams at my family computer, listening to the rain, having finished my book. Tomorow I am flying to my Grandmother's house in L.A. to get away from Santa Cruz.
