I don't have any pictures. I was trying to borrow an icon from someone and I can't do it. Thanks for offering. I just got a digital camera. If I can figure out how to use it I might have soemthing to send you.

dont say that about yourself.
Make a folder on your desktop named LJ Icons.
right click on my icon and save it to the new folder.

Go to the profile dropdown and choose 'manage userpics'.
click 'upload new userpic' and choose 'browse'.
When the browse pop-up appears, choose the folder on your desktop called LJ Icons and then choose the icon you saved into it.

call me if it does not work.

It took me several YEARS before I learned to make my own icons. Don't despair!

You are NOT dumb!

You are also not a computer person -- I am. I used to do web maintenance and all kinds of computer stuff for the marketing people and even some (shudder) tech writing. It is very easy, but hard to explain in just words.

Also, even when you go through all the steps, the same way each time, sometimes the software just sticks its tongue out at you.... LJ is occasionally (rarely, but it happens)....cranky.

So, we will get together, and you will have icons. And once you've _seen_ it and tried it with me, you will be a pro :)
