Adventures In Baking: Sugar Cookie Sandwiches

Jun 07, 2012 15:37

So, yeah, I was a little under the weather on Tuesday, and came up with this little treat. Super easy to make, even if it's not from scratch.

Ingredients:
1 can of buttercream or vanilla frosting
1 package of Pillsbury Sugar cookies
1 bottle of sprinkles (I chose multi-colored nonpareils).

Prep:
Bake sugar cookies according to directions on package (It might differ from oven to oven, or location to location), adding sprinkles just before putting cookies in oven. Once done, remove from baking sheet after cooling for a few minutes. Place on paper towels or cooling rack. Once near-cool, open can of frosting and smear the frosting over one cookie on the underside. Take the second cookie and place it topside-down (it will look like you are putting a sandwich together). Store in airtight container with a slice of bread (keeps baked good moist longer). Makes about 10-12 cookie sandwiches.
