But seriously - I do agree. I think that a lot of that OCD/rule-following kind of thing comes from years of emotional abuse. You get to a point where you're either just afraid or simply unable to step across that line and so you hold it, for better or for worse.
ANYWAY... enough analyzing from me. LOL It might have been a bit depressing, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel and Wes has had his catharsis. Now he can heal. *G*
Great job. :)

I kinda picture their relationship being a bit like that now that you say something, but their only dysfunctional from time to time when no one else is around. I picture him buying her a nice place and background checking all her boyfriends most of the time, but getting into arguments when they say the wrong things without meaning to. LOL.
I don't know if this means anything yet, but last night I went to bed and I had an idea for a sequel, not sure if I'm going to act on it yet. My head will not give this story up!

Nice - hopefully the idea blossoms and we get more of this. And if not, I'm sure there will be others, eventually. Right? Thanks again for the fic!

One small thing: Wes is short for Wesley. He mentions it once in the first episode (when he says the hand-sanitizer is his property). Just wanted to let you know. :)

Whoops, I forgot about that...-flees to fix it-

You wrote this extremely well and although it is a deep topic I think it's a good way to enter the fandom.
