I LOVE THIS. I LOVE THIS. I LOVE THIS. OH GAWD, I LOVE THIS. I don't usually see oldman!America. It's usually the other way around. Despite there being not a lot, the words in this story says a lot. I'm glad that you didn't actually put in the whole reincarnation stuff because I was almost expected it and I like just having to imagine it being said off-screen. You planned on having Arthur die? But, he's so young! I like the scene where Arthur admits to throwing the first punch and how he ended up joining the British military and visits oldman!Alfred in his uniform.

If I think about it, it's a bit easier to imagine Alfred as the old man rather than Arthur (despite his hobbies and such). I don't know if that's just me or anything.

I'm so glad you like this. I have a bit of a soft spot for Older Al. I was going to kill him, but then I did the math and they're the late 90's meaning there was no major conflict for Arthur to be caught up in.

Simply perfect. I've never read something with old man America and Arthur being a little boy. It was endearing from start to end.
